Thank you for opening this email! I would like to submit myself as a candidate for one of the upcoming vacancies on the Telluride Lodge Board. Below is a quick introduction and summary of why I believe I'd be a valuable addition to the Lodge Board.

For those of you who don't know me, I grew up in Telluride and graduated from Telluride High. I also actually lived at the Lodge for a couple of years when I was young. After graduating, I went to Boulder for undergrad and law school, then lived in Denver and LA. I am an entertainment attorney by trade and I lead a team of attorneys and paralegals responsible for the drafting and negotiating complex licensing agreements. My husband, David Rothermel, and I have two boys, Hunter (8) and Owen (4) who are a TIS and Rainbow, respectively.

While we lived outside of Telluride for many years, we regularly returned to visit family and friends and always hoped to return. We were lucky to purchase a Lodge unit in July of 2020 and we lived there until we bought a house in Bachman Village in November 2022. We now rent our Lodge unit to two locals and we're grateful to be able to rent to such amazing contributors to the community.

I'm also a member of the Sparky Board - a small non-profit that helps Latina women in our community (at Telluride and Norwood High Schools) go to college - and have completed a Harvard Business School board training. I believe both of these board-related experiences will allow me to be a proactive member of the Lodge board and understand how to navigate the challenging issues our Board faces.

I'm to focus on some of the pressing needs of the Lodge residents, such as covered storage for our larger outdoor equipment, the pending developments in the west-end, and more sustainability. I'd like to hear the community out on ideas and work to implement them so we can become a closer community.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Best,

Brooke Mallette

Lu Holland

Hi! I’m Lu Holland, and I'm running for a seat on the Telluride Lodge board.

Originally, I made my mark in advertising/marketing, working with major brands like Kellogg's, Miller/Coors, P&G, and Coca-Cola. But then I took a bold leap into real estate, where I thrived, earning numerous awards and certifications. My design background also set me on the path of renovating and flipping properties starting at age 22, with an emphasis on improving floorplan flow and maximizing profit. My passion for real estate and community engagement led me to become a landlord, and I now own/manage properties in the front range.

My love affair with Telluride began in 2011. It was a moment of clarity—I knew I wanted to call this place home. Fast forward to 2020, and I turned that dream into reality by purchasing and renovating Unit 504, where I live full-time. I love skiing, hiking, working on my ceramic projects at Ah Haa, and volunteering for TASP.

Why am I running for the board? Simple. If I secure a spot on the Telluride Lodge Board, my focus will be on inclusivity and initiatives that enhance our community's beauty and comfort. My construction and real estate knowledge gives me unique skills that I believe will be useful as we navigate future projects, including the town’s pending developments in the west end.

I'm committed to fostering an environment where diverse perspectives come together for consensus and harmony, and if elected, I'll continue to ensure every resident's voice is heard and considered.

Thank you for your time and consideration,

Lu Holland, Unit 504

Thanks so much!

(A.J.) Andrew Milder

Andrew (AJ) Milder

Greetings fellow Telluride Lodge residents,

My name is AJ (Andrew) Milder, and I am excited to announce my candidacy for the Telluride Lodge Board. My family—my wife Sarah, our two children, Finn (11) and Svea (8), and I—are proud full-time residents at the Telluride Lodge, having made it our forever home since purchasing our unit in 2022.

Originally from the midwest, I pursued my education at Fort Lewis College in Durango with the hope of one day returning to the San Juans. Our love for Telluride was immediate upon arrival four years ago, captivated not only by its natural beauty but also by the warm embrace of its community. The sense of camaraderie here is unparalleled, with neighbors looking out for one another and each other’s children—a sentiment that resonated deeply with us and inspired us to contribute positively to this remarkable community.

Along with my wife and children, I am deeply ingrained in the Telluride community. Today I serve as a small business mentor for the Telluride Venture Network, imparting knowledge garnered from my work experience. Additionally, I teach business classes in Spanish at the Telluride Foundation’s LatinX bootcamp, fostering entrepreneurship within our diverse community. I am also a palliative care volunteer with Tri-county Health Network, striving to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others during challenging times. I have also coached youth soccer for several years. I am currently a U12 coach and board treasurer for the Telluride Youth Soccer Program.

Professionally, I lead a dynamic team within the dental solutions division of a medtech company, working remotely from our condo. Leveraging my expertise in product portfolio management, I am keen to apply strategic insights to enhance the Telluride Lodge experience for all residents.

When I am not working or volunteering, you can find me running, hiking, skiing, cold plunging or hitting up the local music scene or the music festivals.

If elected to the Telluride Lodge Board, I am committed to championing initiatives that enrich our entire community and amplify its collective voice. I believe in fostering an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives converge to drive meaningful change. My vision encompasses harnessing available resources, including grants, to realize sustainable and eco-conscious projects. I would also like to continue to foster social connectedness with activities like the BBQ gathering we had last fall.

I am eager to collaborate with you all in shaping the future of our Telluride Lodge.

Thank you for considering my candidacy.

Warm regards,

AJ Milder
